Last updated: 11 August 2026. This page explains how RunFuel Ltd handles personal information. It is written to be clear and practical, but it is not legal advice.
Who we are
RunFuel is operated by RunFuel Ltd, trading as RunFuel. RunFuel provides practical running nutrition guidance, starter plans, emails, paid products and app-related services for everyday runners.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, RunFuel Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@runfuel.co.
What this policy covers
This policy covers information collected through RunFuel websites, sign-up forms, starter plans, email sequences, account features, app features, customer support, paid products and subscriptions.
It does not cover third-party websites or services that have their own privacy policies, even if we link to them or use them to provide part of RunFuel.

Information we do not collect
RunFuel is not designed to collect medical records, clinical diagnoses, lab results, prescriptions, detailed health records, exact GPS routes, contact lists or full payment card details.
Please do not send us sensitive medical information unless we specifically ask for it and explain why.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- send you the RunFuel starter plan, guide, email sequence, product or content you requested;
- create, personalise and improve your running nutrition guidance;
- operate your account, save preferences, sync app features and manage subscriptions;
- send useful running nutrition emails where you have agreed to receive them;
- respond to support requests, questions, feedback and account issues;
- process purchases, manage subscription access and deal with payment issues;

Nutrition and health-related information
RunFuel may ask for practical nutrition information, such as dietary preference, allergies or intolerances, foods you avoid, foods you like, training goals, run context and recovery feedback. We use this to provide safer, more relevant guidance and food swaps.
RunFuel does not provide medical advice or personalised dietetic care. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, have allergies, have a history of disordered eating, or need individual support, please speak to a qualified healthcare professional or registered dietitian.
Legal basis
Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Consent: for example when you opt in to receive marketing emails or where consent is required for non-essential cookies.
- Contract: where we need your information to provide a plan, account, app feature, paid product or subscription you requested.
- Legitimate interests: such as improving RunFuel, answering messages, understanding product performance and keeping the service secure.
- Legal obligation: where we need to keep records or comply with tax, accounting, regulatory or legal requirements.
If you give consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before withdrawal.
Personalisation and automated guidance
RunFuel may use your answers, preferences, run context and check-ins to suggest plans, food cues, swaps, hydration prompts, recovery notes and weekly summaries.
These suggestions are intended as general education and planning support. They are not medical advice, clinical decisions or personalised dietetic treatment.
Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails where you have signed up or where the law allows us to contact you. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting hello@runfuel.co.
We may still send service emails that are needed to manage your account, plan, purchase, subscription or security, even if you unsubscribe from marketing.
Service providers we use
We use trusted providers to run RunFuel. These may include:
- Webflow: website hosting, page delivery and website-related services.
- Supabase: app database, authentication, account data and storage. Our Supabase setup is based in the United Kingdom.
- Kit: email sign-ups, email sequences and email engagement data.
- Google Workspace: support email and business communications.
- RevenueCat: subscription entitlement management and subscription status.
- Apple App Store and Google Play: app-store payments, subscription billing and purchase records where relevant.
- Stripe: payment processing if we take web payments outside the app stores.
- Analytics and diagnostics: basic service, website and email performance data. We do not currently use a separate crash-reporting provider.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect RunFuel, our users, our services or others.
International transfers
Some of the providers we use may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we aim to use appropriate safeguards required by data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, accounting, dispute or security reasons.
- Account, onboarding, plan, run, check-in and preference data: while your account is active, then deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after a verified deletion request unless we need to keep it for a lawful reason.
- Email subscriber data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, unless we need to keep a minimal suppression record to respect your unsubscribe request.
- Support correspondence: for as long as useful for customer care, dispute handling or legal reasons.
- Security, sync and debugging logs: for a limited period unless needed longer to investigate misuse, fraud, security incidents or legal claims.
- Subscription and transaction records: for as long as needed for tax, accounting, audit, dispute or legal reasons.
- Backup copies: overwritten or isolated from ordinary use in line with our provider settings.
Deleting your RunFuel account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through the relevant app store.
How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including secure service providers, access controls, authentication, and processes designed to reduce unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If we become aware of a data incident that requires notification, we will take appropriate steps under applicable law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to delete your account or personal information;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
