Who this is for

For runners building a steady 5K.

You run regularly or are building towards a 5K. Your week may include easy runs and one harder session.

5K runners Parkrun prep Harder sessions Steady routine

This week's focus

Practise timing.

Eat before harder runs with enough time to feel comfortable, then refuel steadily afterwards.

How to use it

Make it fit your actual week.

The days are building blocks. Move them around your real runs, rest days and busy days.

01

Place the workout day

Use the workout card on the day your plan has its harder run.

02

Test snacks early

Use easy runs to practise snacks before you need them in a harder session.

03

Keep recovery simple

After harder runs, aim for carbs, a protein food and a drink.

04

Repeat what works

If a meal or snack sits well, keep it in the rotation.
